Don't let her age fool you   Laurice is a powerful leader with a robust history in intersectional equity work\, from gender equity to water equity and anti-racist work.  Laurice will share with us a little about her personal story as well as discuss the City of Tucson's equity efforts and what we as business leaders can do to participate in the movement.\n\n\n\nThis month's breakfast will be held at the YWCA and sponsored by Rachel Marie Photography!\n\n\n\nABOUT LAURICE\n\nAfter a national recruitment and competitive process\, Laurice Walker was appointed as the City of Tucson's first chief equity officer. Laurice brings more than 10 years of experience working with national leaders to define best practices around the understanding and application of equity\, social justice\, and accessibility in local government. Prior to being hired by the City of Tucson\, Laurice served as the inaugural diversity\, equity\, and inclusion manager for the City of Plymouth\, Minnesota. Her previous experience includes work as a project coordinator for the City of Minneapolis\, Division of Race and Equity for 6 years. She currently serves as an equity officer with the International City/County Management Association. Laurice's educational studies are in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and numerous professional certifications in diversity management\, project management\, and corporate training.
