SUMMARY:Spring Lecture Series: Pollinator Gardening in the Low Desert
DESCRIPTION:In this 4-part ONLINE Lecture Series\, we will cover:\n\n\n	Feb 5th: Native Plants for Low Desert Gardening\n	Feb 12th: Gardening for Butterflies and Moths in the Low Desert\n	Feb 26th: Totally Tubular Native Plants for Hummingbirds\n	March 5th: Habitat Gardening on a Budget\n\n\nEach class will be held virtually on zoom from 3:00 - 4:30pm. Participants will be provided with the zoom link upon registration and again prior to the class. Other materials provided will include plant lists in bloom calendar format\, PDF of slides for note-taking\, and a recorded video of each lecture. After the lecture\, there will be time for Q & A.\n\nYour registration fee of $135 includes all 4 lectures!\n\n \n\nABOUT CARIANNE FUNICELLI\n\nAfter receiving a degree in Botany\, Carianne moved to Tucson in 1998\, specifically because she loves the native plants of the Sonoran Desert. Since then\, she has become a well-known advocate for native plant conservation and restoration\, and has conducted projects large and small throughout the southwest region\, both in wild areas and urban landscapes.\n\nCarianne has served as the President of the Society for Ecological Restoration\, Southwest Chapter and of the Tucson Chapter of the Arizona Native Plant Society\, as well as a term as the Wildlife Habitat Representative on the City of Tucson's Landscape Advisory Committee. She has worked in the government\, business\, and non-profit sectors over the past 20 years\, and recently has started her own consulting firm\, Strategic Habitat Enhancements (SHE)\, which allows her to help clients bring nature to their yards with strategic native plant choices.
