Tucson LGBT Chamber of Commerce
Lexi Hernandez, Director of Talent Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, will be joining us at our November membership meeting to talk about the role that large companies like Raytheon play in shaping DE&I initiatives – not just within their organization, but in corporate culture at large and even legislatively. She can share about the shifts Raytheon has seen in their policies and programs vis a vis the LGBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups – what the challenges and joys are, and where Tucson’s largest employer is heading as they seek change both from the top down (leadership training) and the bottom up (talent acquisition).
Lexi might represent one of the country’s largest defense contractors, but she’s an open book and welcomes questions – even hard ones! – about anything having to do with DE&I and conscious operating in a traditionally white-cis-male dominated corporate environment. Don’t let her impressive title scare you - this will be an informative but informal presentation & discussion. Join us!
Plus networking, news from breakfast sponsor MyersStrickland PLLC on national adoption month, and more! Proceeds from breakfast support Mel Hopman, Chamber Member and Committee member, on her journey with cancer.
