(Yes, that was our plan for September, but it fell through, so we're doing it in October!)

Transportation affects all of us. We depend on a quality transportation system to get around and to provide access to goods and services we need. The voter-approved RTA plan has delivered more than 850 projects across the region that benefit all commuters; drivers, bicyclists pedestrians and transit riders. This presentation gives background on the current plan that expires in 2026 and where we are as a region in developing a second RTA plan with a new set of projects. A citizens' committee is working on the second plan, and it needs your input! Learn how you can help shape our transportation future.

Mindy graduated from Western Colorado University with a bachelor degree in English. She keeps her hands in the business volunteering at Arizona Public Media when she can.
SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EFFORT TO BENEFIT A CHAMBER MEMBER…For the October Breakfast, the LGBT Chamber will be asking for a $10 donation (or whatever you are willing and able to give) to benefit a long-time LGBT board/chamber member who has been fallen on significant hard times.
Melissa Stablein previously served as the LGBT Chamber Vice President and spearheaded the Advocacy committee as we know it today. In late 2019, Melissa was diagnosed with cancer and required surgery. As a massage therapist, she had to stop working due to her medical treatments. And then…Covid hit and Melissa has been unable to go back to work because she is still of compromised health. This month, Melissa received news that her cancer has spread, and she is going to have to start treatment all over again.
This news, coupled with not working for almost a year, is causing an emotional, physical, and financial hardship. Melissa has dedicated countless volunteer hours to the LGBT community in Tucson and as such, the LGBT Chamber Board of Directors would like to reach out to that same community and ask its members to help if they are able. Through this small effort, it is our opportunity to repay Melissa for her dedication to the Tucson LGBT Community.
The LGBT Chamber is going to match the donations received up to $500. So, if you are willing and able to help a member of our community, this would be a great place to make an impact!
We look forward to seeing you!Images
