About Us

Ballet Tucson was established in 1986 with the goal of creating both a world-class professional ballet company and a school aimed at helping young dancers in Southern Arizona realize their dreams of a career in dance. In the spring of 2022 Margaret Mullin, a Tucson native, was named Artistic Director alongside Chieko Imada, Ballet Tucson’s Associate Artistic Director who was also given the title of Resident Choreographer.

Ballet Tucson brings five inspiring concerts to the stage each year, featuring works by acclaimed choreographers and performed by exceptional professional dancers from around the world. The School of Ballet Tucson provides a rich training ground for students of all ages, offering the opportunity to work with accomplished teachers, choreographers and professional dancers, while instilling in them a love for the art form and providing a means for greater self-expression.
