About Us
Watershed Management Group is a local non-profit providing free education and workshops on sustainable water solutions and desert living, with weekly volunteer opportunities to steward our watershed. Come visit us at our Living Lab & Learning Center on Dodge & Speedway! Take a free class with us, join us for a creek walk or for one of our soirees, or bring the kiddos out to one of our Family Saturdays.
We are optimistic about the future and about people’s ability to make positive change. We believe that collective everyday actions can change the world. We recognize our reliance on and relationship with each other and our environment as inextricably and necessarily collaborative. All our human and non-human relationships must be healthy and mutually beneficial to thrive. We believe every challenge has a solution, and we focus our energies on identifying, implementing, and adapting those solutions. We strive to be responsive to the different needs of our communities and ecosystems and recognize that – to restore the watershed – this rich diversity is integral to these efforts.
Our hydro-local future starts right here, right now, with each of us and all of us.

Julie has over 30 years of experience teaching in experiential, place-based, embodied education both in the US and in Australia, where she lived for fifteen years. Julie made her way to Tucson in 2023, reconnecting to the Sonoran Desert near where she grew up (in San Bernardino, Ca), and the land of her father's family across the border in Sonora and Chihuahua. Early university studies in the sciences and work in a soils science lab evolved into a performing arts focus and Regalado was active in California in the modern dance world. Often working in non-formal settings, Julie brings a perspective encompassing a social-ecological and relational approach towards building more constructive relationships--human and more-than-human. She holds a BA in Liberal Studies from UC Riverside, a MFA in Dance from Mills College, and a MEd in Social Ecology from Western Sydney University.
